I have spent the past 13 years living in Santa Barbara with my husband, raising our two children. In all these years, soaking up the California sun, I still haven’t lost my Southernness and take pride in the little Southern ways that are ingrained in me. Whether it’s what I’m sayin’ or how I’m sayin’ it, everyone knows that I’m not from the West Coast, especially around Derby! You can take the girl out of the South, but you can’t take the South out of the girl! I am definitely a “Girl Raised in the South” and I am excited to share with you some of my favorite southern traditions, recipes, books, places to visit, and other stuff, like horses and bourbon!
